I thought you did a great job! Your narration made the presentation enjoyable. Some people say they don't like video clips in power points, but I liked all of yours since they weren't too long and pertained to the topic well. I thought the last video clip was funny! My only suggestion for you is to speak louder, it was a little hard to hear you at times. But you did pronounce your words clearly, which always helps! Good job!
ReplyDeleteI like how you made a connection to how much your “place” means to you. It was really cool to see you much Rocky Mount has grown since the 1870’s. I like how you showed the videos and pictures of the hurricane aftermath because it gave the audience an idea of how bad the hurricanes hit Rocky Mount and how much people there were affected by it. The graph you put on the Accumulation in fish AND Human Health Effects was very easy to understand and it was clear to see the pathway of mercury. It was really awesome how you showed a video of the train going over the Tar River to show how much the train effects the pollution of the river. You could have made the Air Quality Index slide a little bit bigger because it was hard to see the small numbers. On the last couple of slides you could try to cut down on the amount of words, but I like how you have a conclusion that brings your presentation together.

Also, you really did seem to know what you were talking about throughout the presentation which made it easier to follow. Like Rebecca said, the only thing that I would change is the number of words on the slides. But overall, AWESOME PRESENTATION!

Doing my presentation on Rocky Mount also, it was interesting to see similar and different topics and information that you included in yours. Overall, I thought it was very good and I thought you presented it very well!

ReplyDeleteYou were great bud. All your videos added a lot of perspective to all your points, they were well transitioned too every time. You've obviously grown up in Rocky Mount, you could relate to everything you talked about which definitely made it easy to follow. You did a good job relating to your audience, rather than boring us with a super formal presentation, you livened it up a bit. Good job!

Your videos were funny yet informative and perfectly incorporated throughout the entire presentation.
